Comin' Through fought of Tom Melbourne, which he has made a habit of doing, to take out the G2 Tramway Stakes (1400m).
Michael Walker (Comin' Through): "He is not an easy horse to ride, just jumped well enough but I had to ride him to hold his spot. I actually got to the front too early and when he got to the front he wanted to lay in and pull up but all in all a good effort and Chris (Waller) has done an amazing job to get him back first up to win."
"Long term goal is the Japan Cup so hopefully we get him there."
Comin' Through holding off Tom Melbourne
Hugh Bowman (Le Romain): “I was caught wide. I was pleased with him, but didn’t think he went as well as first up.”
Jay Ford (Takedown): “Disappointing. He’s probably getting close to the end of it.”
Tye Angland (Egg Tart): “Super run. Unlucky held up.”
Josh Parr (Duca Valentinois): “Trapped wide midfield.”
Tim Clark (Arbeitsam): “Fought on well.”
Tommy Berry (Lanciato): “Got long way back. Ran on well.”
Kerrin McEvoy (Youngstar): “Very pleasing first up run. Just needed to offset that wide barrier. A great first up effort against older horses.”
Christian Reith (Dixie Blossoms): “Didn’t need that pretty hard shove on the corner.”
Corey Brown (Tom Melbourne): “You’ve heard it all before.”
Rachel King (Nettoyer): “Really, really super run. Looking to step up in distance now.”
