Find out what the beaten jockeys made of their runs in the Group Two Tramway Stakes at Royal Randwick.
Josh Adams (Happy Clapper): “Before the race I was quietly confident, there was no nerves at all, I knew I was on the right horse and he did the job for me. Bring on the Epsom.”
Tim Clark (Mackintosh): “He went back from a wide gate and closed off well.”
Hugh Bowman (Mccreery): “It might look a bit disappointing on face value but I wasn’t too disappointed. He’s been in a high pressure race and personally I think he is more effective with a bit of give in the ground.”
Tye Angland (Heavens Above): “Really good. Probably the best first up run she has done for a while so it was good to see.”
Josh Parr (Zanbagh): “She failed to let down on the firm surface.”
Adam Hyeronimus (Ecuador): “Honest run. I think he showed the effects of his first up run though and how good it was.”
Corey Brown (Invincible Gem): “She was a little bit luckless. She box seated behind Ecuador and I expected him to take me all the way into the straight but he was a beaten horse at the top of the straight. She is going well enough. She will go to the Epsom and run well.”
Blake Spriggs (Maurus): “He went super. Couldn’t be happier with him. Once he gets to a mile and beyond you will see a very nice horse.”
Michael Walker (Tom Melbourne): “Really good run. He went super. We got exposed too early and he is a difficult horse to ride. When I got exposed he wanted to run off and I had to go with him.”
Glyn Schofield (The Virginian): “Up in distance today might not have suited.”
