After a luckless run in the Blue Diamond, Anaheed bounced back at Royal Randwick taking out the G2 Sweet Embrace Stakes (1200m).
Tim Clark (Anaheed): “She’s a nice filly. Still a bit raw with improvement to come. She’s definitely a stronger filly now then when I last rode her, she’s got a good attitude too."
Anaheed booted clear to take out the Sweet Embrace
Brenton Avdulla (Amercement): “The race shape didn’t suit her. She actually jumped okay - from a gate she probably would have been a few lengths closer and probably runs a couple of lengths closer.”
James McDonald (Kiamichi): “A very good performance first up after one trial. She’ll take good benefit from that.”
Glyn Schofield (Giselle Anne): “She actually made a bit of a forward move halfway down the straight. Not a bad run.”
Hugh Bowman (Still Single): “She’s a really nice filly and she didn’t disgrace herself today.”
Blake Shinn (Super Oasis): “Just raced like a filly that’s probably come to the end of her prep. Presented there at about the 250m, did a few things wrong wanting to lay out and didn’t find the line like we know she could."
Corey Brown (Icebath): “Ran great. It’s just the little things not going right for her. She got a bit of a squeeze after the start and a bit of a checkered run up the straight but she’s a nice little horse, she’s an improver.”
Tommy Berry (Dance Too Hard): “Just not ready yet.”
Jay Ford (Emeralds): “Travelled fairly comfortable throughout but really struggled under pressure.”
Josh Parr (Let It Pour): “A very promising debut from an inexperienced filly. Definitely on the way up.”
Jason Collett (Perfect Impression): “A bit of interference there in the straight.”
