A double in the first five races for jockey Tim Clark as Siren's Fury swooped late to pull off a long priced plunge.
Find out what the jockeys made of their mounts after the Group 3 E-Group Security Star Kingdom Stakes (1200m) at Rosehill Gardens.
Tim Clark (Siren’s Fury): “She’s got that race pattern where she needs pressure on. She gets back and she’s alway flashing. I got really good speed there on a testing track.
“Back from 1400m she was always going to be strong late, it was just a matter of whether I was going to get there in time but she really surged inside the last 100m.”
“That was a good performance today, she was well placed. And had the right conditions to suit.”
Siren’s Fury wins the Star Kingdom Stakes at Rosehill Gardens
Blake Shinn (Manuel): “It was a massive run. He gave me a nice ride and tried hard. As soon as I thought I was the winner, Siren’s Fury came. It was a gallant effort.”
Jason Collett (Music Magnate): “I put him up near the speed and I was in it but once he came off the bridle he struggled in the ground.”
James McDonald (Ardrossan): “He’s a really nice horse. He will improve a lot off that. Get him on a decent surface.”
Brett Prebble (Fiery Heights): “Very honest effort. It’s really chopped up. He wasn’t getting his foot in. Every time I pressed him hard he would get his head lower and half dip. It was a game effort.”
Brenton Avdulla (Estijaab): “I had to work to get across but she didn’t feel comfortable from midway around.”
Damian Lane (Maximus): “He bombed the start and was left chasing a long way out.”
