Jockey Quotes - Silver Slipper

Sunlight and Estijaab fought out a thrilling edition of the $250,000 G2 Silver Slipper Stakes (1100m), with Sunlight prevailing.

Sunlight taking out the Silver Slipper

Tim Clark (Sunlight): "She is pretty push button. A very sensible filly with good improvement in her. Although the second horse had her excuses, there is not a lot between them considering my filly has probably three lengths improvement."

Brenton Avdulla (Estijaab): "She was good. Got driven mad but was just beaten by Sunlight."

Corey Brown (Knievel): "It was a little bit out of his league at the moment but he is a nice enough horse. It was a bit deep.".

Glyn Schofield (Gongs): "She couldn’t follow that really hot speed and it was made a tough race for her. She finished off okay."

Blake Shinn (Neutrality): "I think the horse has got a fair bit of improvement from that run. He did early work and got tired late, which was a bit disappointing, I’d have liked to have seen him hold on, but he’ll improve heading towards the Todman."

All the results and replays for Saturday's Rosehill Gardens meeting.
