Find out what the jockeys made of their mounts after the $2,000,000 Inglis Millennium (1100m) at Royal Randwick.
James McDonald (Rivellino): “He’s a ripper and fair play to Kris, he has always liked him. When he rang and said ‘you’ve got to ride this one, I reckon he’s pretty good’. So it didn’t take much convincing.
“I rode him in a trial and he gave me an excellent feel and that was just what we wanted to see today.
“As soon as we had a spot with a bit of cover we were happy. I thought he would come here and run really well but I just needed a little bit of luck and I got that from the 800 (metre mark).
“It was a smoothly run race after that.
“He’s a really improving type. He’s going to be a force to be reckoned with through the carnival.”

Jason Collett (Within The Law): “Great run. Had the winner’s back and challenged it late, but he just had a big enough lead on me.”
Tom Sherry (Artistic Venture): “Beautiful filly. Had to duck back to the inside but she finished off strong. Promising."
Regan Bayliss (Cobra Club): “Just raced a little bit free and fresh for me. Still had a really good gallop, just tired that last little bit, so he’ll improve out of sight off that.”
Kerrin McEvoy (The Magic Man): “Ran well. A bit further.”
Adam Hyeronimus (Grafterburners): “He’s a very raw horse, he’s still learning. But, that last 300m, his turn-of-foot was very good. He’s going to be a horse to follow.”
Tim Clark (Crown The King): “He ran honestly.”
Jay Ford (Sanctified): “He ran really well. From that gate we rode him quiet today and he closed his race off really well.”
Ashley Morgan (Yolo): “Got into a lovely spot. Had no luck from the top of the straight.”
Rhys McLeod (Prince Marionette): “Just outclassed. He has run as well as he could.”
Chad Schofield (Kujenga): “Travelled really well up on the pace, he just didn’t have much to offer.”
Zac Lloyd (Open Secret): “She’s gone enormous. The barrier was not ideal, but she’s still learning with every run and she’s going to get better.”
Tyler Schiller (Price Tag): “Just raced too keenly. I thought she was gallant at the finish, but just did too much early.”
Zac Wadick (Bubion): “She handled the occasion well. She might mature into a nicer three-year-old filly, but she handled the occasion and there are benefits to it.”
Winona Costin (Sheeza Diva): “Good run, just ended up in the wrong part of the track.”
Reece Jones (Deep Affection): “Just too sharp for her. She was under pressure most of the way and she’s doing her best work late. Gave me another brilliant ride.”
