Alassio continued her excellent form of late with a strong on-pace win and earns herself a shot at a Group 1 in a few weeks' time.
Find out what the jockeys made of their mounts after the Group 2 Guy Walter Proven Thoroughbreds Stakes (1400m) at Royal Randwick.
Tim Clark (Alassio): “Such an honest mare. She’s got such an honest record. Had the perfect run again, like a couple of weeks ago I just slipstreamed the leader.
“She was always a bit of a question mark at 1400m but Gai and Adrian’s horses they find the line. She’s in great order at the moment and she deserves everything that comes her way.
“In a couple of weeks time is the Coolmore and I would say they will definitely look at that. This race today is normally a good lead up for that race.
“She’s a five-year-old and that was only her tenth start so she’s been through a lot but she’s done a mighty job.”

James McDonald (Dixie Blossoms): “Brilliant run.”
Hugh Bowman (Noire): “She ran okay, I had no luck from a wide draw.”
Tommy Berry (Bella Martini): “A bit disappointing today. She ran a cracker first up, might’ve been a bit flat today.”
Sam Clipperton (Eckstein): “Good run. On song.”
Jason Collett (Siren's Fury): “Just got flushed off the track when they sprinted. Worked home quite well.”
Kerrin McEvoy (Manicure): “Good effort.”
Corey Brown (Mandylion): “She ran well. First up over the 1400 off two soft trials, she’ll improve heaps.”
Brett Prebble (Nettoyer): “Nice. Looking for longer, a bit sharp for her now.”
Brenton Avdulla (Dyslexic): “She ran terrific, just got back from a wide gate.”
