Find out what the jockeys made of their mounts after the Group 1 $1 million Fujitsu General George Main Stakes (1600m) at Royal Randwick.
James McDonald (Anamoe): “He’s a star. He’s so adaptable now. He’s a pleasure to ride and as soon as you hope on he oozes confidence.
“You know where you’re going to be. He hops away and goes to sleep. He conserves energy like no other horse. He does enough to get past them and he’ll do enough to hold them at bay.
“He’s obviously got options. It doesn’t matter where he goes.
“He’s just so economical and I think that’s the beauty of a top class horse on display. You know you can do anything with them and they overcome hurdles.”

Tommy Berry (Icebath): “She was game in defeat once again. The plan was to put her into the race early and try and match with James at the top of the straight. His colt showed his brilliance but she was tough.”
Kerrin McEvoy (Hinged): “A good positive run by her. We ended up landing in front. She ran a good race, back to handicap conditions and a stronger tempo in the Epsom will see her run well.”
Jason Collett (Montefilia): “Very good return. I was really happy with that.”
Sam Clipperton (Maximal): “This horse is going really well. Just a matter of time before he lives up to his hype on drier ground.”
Hugh Bowman (Fangirl): “I think she’d appreciate better ground. Realistically she was a touch disappointing.”
Tim Clark (Converge): “Slowly run race, he was back where it was hard to make ground. He’ll be better on a firmer surface.”
Brenton Avdulla (Profondo): “He executed everything really well today. I thought he was in the race until the corner but I am banking on the ground being no good for him. He’s failed twice now on that ground. He’s going too well to suggest that is his form.”
Josh Parr (Duais): “Let the dust settle on that performance and see where she is at.”
