Hugh Bowman (Satin Slipper): “I wasn’t as confident with her as I was the colt but these Snowden two-year-olds are so well prepared. She’ll be so much better in six months, she has a great pedigree and will be a lovely filly.’’

Brenton Avdulla (Setsuna): “The trial was only plain but when Gai Waterhouse takes them to the races they run terrific.’’

Joao Moreira (Fiesta): “It was a lovely run, she was just too green and didn’t know what racing was about. She basically raced sideways and finished off full of herself. She probably will win next time.’’

Tim Clark (Now Or Never): “She ran quite well and will be better suited when she gets out over a bit further.’’

Kerrin McEvoy (Galina): “We didn’t step away great, she got back and needed some room. Didn’t get a lot of room until late but she finished well and has scope to run better next time.’’

Jay Ford (Meryl): “I thought she ran well. She showed good natural speed and that probably took its toll late but if she develops she’s going to make a nice horse.’’

Blake Shinn (Impetuoso): “It was a great run. She just never got room until about the 150m and hit the line well. One to look out for.’’

Tye Angland (Cortesta): “We had a terrible gate Got back, made good ground in the middle stages and got a little bit tired late.’’

Glyn Schofield (Cap Gris Nez): “Quick to begin but didn’t have enough speed to cross and weakened late.’’
