Find out what the beaten jockeys made of their runs in the Listed Breeders’ Plate at Royal Randwick.
Hugh Bowman (Performer): “I expected a good run from him, it’s no surprise that he won in fact I thought he would and I’m pleased he delivered on my expectations.’’
Blake Shinn (Bondi): “It was a great run, nearly as a good as a win. He did everything right, he ran as well as he could the winner was just a bit better.’’
Adam Hyeronimus (Santos): “Very nice horse. Throughout the run he only did what he had to do but he’s very raw.’’
Tim Clark (Spin): “He ran well. I was hoping to be a little bit closer and it has probably cost him running a place.’’
Brenton Avdulla (Osorno): “He jumped well so I put him on the speed. He lost his way midrace when Hughie went on the winner and he finished his gallop right off.’’
Kerrin McEvoy (Hiemal): “He’s gone the wrong way since the trial, he over raced and had nothing to come home with.’’
Dwayne Dunn (Outrageous): “He ran well, he’s going to be a nice three-year-old 1400m-miler.’’ Damian Lane (Royal Captain): “I thought he ran okay. I had to go back from the draw and they were a bit sharp for him but over a bit further he’ll be better.’’
Tye Angland (Invincible Lad): “Began very quick, probably did a bit too much up front and got tired late.’’
Glyn Schofield (Sokudo): “He’s a nice horse for later on.’’
Tommy Berry (Quackerjack): “He’s a nice type of a horse but he’s all legs at the moment and just needs a bit of time to mature.’’
