Find out what the beaten jockeys made of their runs in the Group One BMW at Rosehill.
Hugh Bowman (Jameka): “She made my job easy, I just had to keep her happy, keep her in rhythm.”
Damien Oliver (Exospheric): “He ran well. The winner is just a superior wet tracker, she just really extended in the ground. My bloke and Humidor fought out second and third but she was too good in the wet today.”
Tim Clark (Who Shot Thebarman): “I thought he ran bravely. Would’ve loved to have been in front of a couple early but it wasn’t to be from the draw. He ran honest, hard to make excuses when you get beaten by that far but he ran good.”
Jason Collett (Grand Marshal): “Nice run in transit but he’s just struggling on the surface.”
Glyn Schofield (Libran): “He ran okay. He was right there on the corner, he went with Jameka for a furlong and then her class kicked in and she went away from us. But he’s on song for the Sydney Cup.”
Damian Lane (Humidor): “I couldn’t be happier with him. I thought rounding the corner he was the winner, (for Jameka) to sprint as well as she did in that ground was really something else. I was really happy with the way he went but the winner was too strong through the ground.”
Blake Shinn (Tavago): “Never, ever going any good at any point. Hopefully something comes to light when he cools down.”
Brenton Avdulla (Lasqueti Spirit): “She ran honest, obviously up against Group One weight for age horses. Take Jameka out of it she wasn’t beaten too far so I’m sure when she goes to the Oaks off that run she’d be very competitive.”
