Find out what the jockeys made of their mounts after the Group 1 $1,000,000 Asahi Super Dry Australian Oaks (2400m) at Royal Randwick.
Damian Lane (Treasurethe Moment): “Yeah, she's a beauty, she's a pleasure to ride, she got me out of a bit of a sticky spot at the top of the straight.
“The leader really sprinted well and I probably gave her a bit too much leeway and had a bit of ground to make up.
“She ended up knuckling down when it counted, just those real good special horses, just find a way.
“I was hoping more than anything and with 100m to go, she knuckled down and when those in front were getting tired, she just found the line.”

Alysha Collett (Sun 'N' Sand): “She has gone outstanding. Thought we could do that especially when we were able to control things in front. The other horses too good.”
Craig Williams (You Wahng): “She is now Group 1 placed. Kris Lees and stable have done a great job on a seven day turnaround in this distance, this grade. She went so good.”
James McDonald (Leica Lucy): “She has gone really well in a slowly run race.”
Mark Zahra (Dubai Goldrush): “Wasn’t up to it today.”
Kerrin McEvoy (Verona Rose): “Thought she ran well. Slow tempo didn’t suit her. She ran the trip out strongly. So connections may go to Brisbane.”
Tommy Berry (Belle Detelle): “Got into a nice rhythm early. Once everyone found their spot and the speed came out of it. She just got keen which was always going to be the worry for her today. Incredible job to finish where she did considering from the mile she went quite keen.”
Chad Schofield (Matrimonial): “She had to get re-shod behind the gates after springing her shoe. Never really felt happy.”
Josh Parr (Ella Hazel): “We weren’t quite good enough today. She is a nice filly on the rise.”
