Onward to the Doncaster for the Lindsay Park-trained Fifty Stars! Find out what the jockeys made of their mounts after the Group 2 Hyland Race Colours Ajax Stakes (1500m) at Rosehill Gardens.
Jye McNeil (Fifty Stars): “My first winner in Sydney and no better way to do it. Big thanks to Gerry Ryan the owner and Dean Lester who helps with my form. It’s good to have the loyalty of the Hayes team.
“First time he has been in the wet for a while, he was good in the wet earlier in his career. When they kicked he really floundered a bit but over the late stages he was really tough.”
“I think he stays in Sydney and goes on a Doncaster path with a light weight and off that he has to be in the mix as a good light-weight chance. I can ride the weight so I will definitely be putting my hand up.”

Michael Walker (Violate): “Once again he ran well, didn’t handle the track.”
Kathy O’Hara (McCreery): “Great run, he handles the track really well, I think if he drew a better barrier he might have been right in the finish.”
Glyn Schofield (Kaonic): “He ran well, he’s ready for a win soon.”
Jason Collett (Morton's Fork): “He tried, ground wasn’t ideal.”
Andrew Adkins (Fierce Impact): “Good run, he travelled well in the going, first up over that distance it was solid effort, just found a little bit wanting late, but still a good effort.”
Sam Clipperton (Mask Of Time): “Very good effort, I thought once we fought the eventual third horse off, I thought this is nice, we’ve got it won, but I didn’t see the winner. Very courageous effort.”
Kerrin McEvoy (Seaway): “Just struggled in the ground today, when he came off the bridle he lost his confidence and had nothing to offer.”
Tommy Berry (Abdon): “He ran on well.”
Brenton Avdulla (Dyslexic): “She ran well, bottomless track probably got the better of her.”
Jay Ford (Brazen): “He just found the class a bit beyond him.”
