Interstate Stewards Extracts – Warwick Farm, Saturday 7 January

Race 2 Number 4 – Cellarman - Connections advised he would be ridden with cover; settled at the rear of the field. Rider reported it wasn’t his intention to settle so far back however bearing in mind the instructions to ride with cover from an outside draw, he had to settle further back to gain a position with cover. He further added that the colt travelled well until placed under pressure near the 500m where it failed to respond to his riding. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities. (Caulfield 12/10/16)

Race 6 Number 3 – Sewreel (NZ) – Made contact with another runner when attempting to obtain clear running near then 300m and then was held up for a short distance thereafter. (Te Rapa 10/12/16)
