Race 3 Number 1 – Vassal (GB) –  Connections advised that the horse would be ridden quietly. The horse settled back in the field. Rider reported that his mount travelled reasonably well until the 600m, however when asked to improve, gelding did not quicken and he was of the opinion that it failed to handle the track conditions. Race 4 Number 5 – Vinnie Vega –  Held up rounding the home turn and until passing the 200m at which stage it received pressure from its inside and as a result, was carried out and had to be checked away from heels. (Seymour 22/10/2017)

Race 8 Number 6 – Overstep - Connections advised would be ridden closer; began awkwardly then steadied at the 1000m to avoid heels and therefore settled towards the rear of the field. (Caulfield 14/10/2017)
