(Sunshine Coast 1/7/17) Race 7, no 10: ELLE LOU - Stable representative advised the horse would be ridden more forward today if circumstances permit. The horse settled midfield. When questioned regarding the tactics he adopted approaching the 600m. Rider stated he attempted to shift to the outside of another runner at that point and then that horse shifted wider on the track and therefore he elected to steady his mount and angle back to the inside and cut the corner. Added that near the 350m he attempted to come to the outside of a runner but was prevented from doing so by another runner and both horses bumped at that stage and then again was tightened for room approaching the 100m between runners and did not obtain clear running over the concluding stages. His explanation was noted. (Doomben 24/6/17)
