Jockey Blake Spriggs was dislodged from Minute Silence during race 1 at Hawkesbury on Thursday and has suffered a laceration to his left eye and is complaining of pain in his right knee. Blake has since been transported to hospital for further examination.
Update at 7.45am, Friday 10th February: Racing NSW's acting Dr Tim Musgrove, has reported Blake is stable and remains under observation regarding his head injury. The knee injury to his patella with a relatively non-displaced fracture is less likely to need surgery but will be further be assessed after scans.
NOTE: Due to Blake's injury he will be unable to fulfil his engagements at Goulburn on Friday (10th February) and Royal Randwick on Saturday (11th February). Replacements will be advised as soon as possible.
