Injured Jockey - Craig Dwyer - Cessnock Trials

Heat 5: Jockey Craig Dwyer was thrown backwards from his mount when it became fractious in the barriers. He has sustained an injury to his right ankle and is being transported to Hospital for scans and treatment.

Update 3pm Wednesday, 27th June 2018 - Racing NSW's Dr. Duckworth has reported that Craig Dwyer has an undisplaced fracture of his fibula, just below his knee. This can be treated with rest and a splint and generally takes 4 to 6 weeks to heal. He has been discharged from hospital and will see his GP tomorrow.
