Godolphin Joins The TAB Everest for Three Years

Racing NSW and Godolphin today announced that Godolphin has taken a slot in The TAB Everest for a further three years commencing in October 2021.

Godolphin had previously taken a slot in The TAB Everest in both 2019 and 2020, each as single year agreements.

“Godolphin is one of the most successful racing and breeding operations in the world and its support and promotion of Thoroughbred racing in Australia and internationally is immeasurable,” said Racing NSW Chief Executive, Mr Peter V’landys AM.

“Godolphin has a great record in The TAB Everest already with its runners having placed in 2018, 2019 and 2020 and we are excited at its involvement for the next three years.”

Godolphin Australia’s Managing Director, Vin Cox said: “We have some exciting prospects coming through and our horses continue to perform in this race, which ultimately made the decision for us.

“Only last year we saw Bivouac come from well back to claim an exciting second in The TAB Everest and then go on to claim his third Group 1, Trekking claimed third (2019) and fourth (2020) and he’s back in training, and our Godolphin broodmare band received a huge boost last year when it was joined by our 2019 TAB Everest runner Alizee, and Osborne Bulls, who flew down the outside fence for a thrilling third in 2018’s edition; he is now a flagbearer for our Godolphin Lifetime Care program.

“It’s a race we hold many fond memories of and as an organisation look forward to in the coming years as The TAB Everest continues to build on its already formidable profile.”
