ROSEHILL GARDENS – BEST BET: Race 1 # 2 – MAWJOOD

He's a nice type, and he won with style when resuming as a gelding at Warwick Farm 24 days ago. The Hawkes-trained galloper's effort was full of merit after sitting three wide out on a limb throughout before accelerating hard and going through the line full of energy. Further, he held his action well, running the fastest final 200m split of the meeting, clocking slick overall time relative to the day, and there has been a subsequent winner to confirm the form. The two-year-old is suited second-up over 1200m, the bigger track suits and expect him to be ridden positively from the outside draw.

ROSEHILL GARDENS – NEXT BEST: Race 7 # 5 – LOCO

Like him, and he was outstanding in defeat last start. The four-year-old always faced the breeze for majority of the race in a genuine tempo before being flushed out and exposed before the turn. He clocked a sharp 600m-400m split, having to make that early run, and was left in front a long way out before never shirking his task to finish second. The gelding is ready to breakthrough out to 2400m, where he has performed well at that distance in the SA Derby (2400m). Additionally, he'll roll forward and race well. Each-way.

ROSEHILL GARDENS – SECTIONAL STAR: Race 5 # 10 – ACAPPELLA SUN

Her run hidden merit last start, and she represents value. The mare had the pace/bias against her and was never fully exerted the entire straight. Even with that interference, Punter's Intelligence recorded her sectional merit, with the four-year-old clocking the meeting's fifth-fastest final 200m in 12.07. She gets in with no weight in Saturday's assignment after the claim, the drying surface suits her, and she produces her peak figures when deep into a campaign over 1200m.

WYONG – PROVINCIAL PICK: Race 7 # 7 – BONUS TEMPUS

He arguably should've won his past two starts after having no luck whatsoever in both events. The gelding was well-backed late in the trade at Moruya eight days ago and travelled into it well before being blocked for a run for the majority of the straight. He only saw daylight until the concluding stages, and even with that interference, he still clocked one of the meeting's quickest final 200m splits. The four-year-old should get his chance to run over the top of his rivals with a genuine anticipated race shape.
