Frankely Awesome - Scratched From Australian Derby (Randwick, Saturday)

Trainer Kris Lees this morning has been provided with approval to scratch Frankely Awesome on veterinary advice from the Harrolds Australian Derby to be conducted this Saturday at Royal Randwick.

Mr Lees reported the filly has not recovered well enough following finishing second in the Vinery Stud Stakes last Saturday and also was coughing for which he has now treated the filly.

Mr Lees has advised that the intention is to start the filly in the Heineken 3 Australian Oaks at Randwick on 13 April 2019 should he be satisfied with the filly's progress.

A veterinary clearance will be required before Frankely Awesome races again.
