Jockey Alannah Fancourt was dislodged from her mount (Je Suis Prest) passing the 200m in race 4 at Murwillumbah today.
Update at 7pm on Friday 25th August:Racing NSW's Dr Duckworth has reported that Alannah has broken her bone called the ulna in her forearm that will need surgery next week.
The CT scan machine at Tweed hospital is unfortunately broken so she will be admitted overnight for observation and have CT's of her neck and brain in the morning. She is conscious, alert and seems reasonably comfortable considering the fall.
