Destiny's Kiss Warming Up For Another Cup At Rosehill

One of only two 3200m races on the Sydney metropolitan calendar - along with the Listed $150,000 Civic Stakes - headline another strong winter card of racing at Rosehill Gardens this Saturday.

The $126,000 Stayer’s Cup over the two-mile journey returns to Rosehill Gardens for the first time since 2012 with evergreen galloper Destiny’s Kiss aiming to add another feature race to his long and storied Cup career.

The Joe Pride-trained and apprentice Chris Williams-ridden rising 11-year-old is having his third career run in the Stayer’s Cup after winning the race in 2014 and running third at Royal Randwick in last year’s renewal.

Destiny’s Kiss won the Winter Cup at Rosehill Gardens at his last start – his 11th Cup success in a 97-start career.

He is a $6.50 chance with TAB in a wide-open betting market behind the Chris Waller early favourite High Bridge ($4.80 TAB) to be ridden by Blaike McDougall.

The Listed $150,000 Civic Stakes is another wide-open betting race with TAB in a 14-horse field, and Organza from the powerful Godolphin stable is the early $5 TAB favourite for jockey Glyn Schofield. Five other runners are between $6 and $9 with the early TAB market.

The Rosehill Gardens track was rated a Heavy 9 on Thursday morning with improving weather forecast ahead of the weekend.

This Saturday also sees the continuation of a special offer for Saturday raceday patrons from the Australian Turf Club and Moët & Chandon.

Australian Turf Club’s official champagne is on offer at a special price for general admission customers and ATC Members throughout June and July at Rosehill Gardens and Royal Randwick.

All guests who dine in the Winning Post Restaurant at Rosehill Gardens or the Grandview Room at Royal Randwick on Saturdays until the end of July receive a complimentary bottle of Moët & Chandon Imperial for their group to enjoy on the day.

Bottles of Moët & Chandon Imperial sold in Members and General Admission across these racedays will be available for $99.

Rosehill Gardens offers free parking and free entry for all children under the age of 18 when permanently accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
