Countdown To $3.5Million Golden Slipper Continues At Rosehill Gardens This Saturday

Rosehill Gardens, home of the Longines Golden Slipper, hosts a fantastic day of racing this Saturday, 3 February for Sydney Markets Expressway Stakes Raceday.

Patrons will have the chance to have their picture taken with the Longines Golden Slipper trophy, which will be on display at the Railway Forecourt between 11am-2.30pm.

The Group 3 $150,000 Toyota Material Handling Canonbury Stakes sees the return of one of the early Longines Golden Slipper favourites Performer, who is the $1.50 TAB Fixed Odds favourite this Saturday.

Performer, who won the Listed Arrowfield Breeders’ Plate in September and has had two barrier trials, will cement his place for the Chris Waller stable in the Longines Golden Slipper if he wins on Saturday.

The Widden Stakes for the two year olds fillies sees the Chris Waller stablemate Fiesta head the market at $3.30 TAB Fixed Odds.

The filly will shorten from her $51 TAB Fixed Odds Longines Golden Slipper price if successful on Saturday.

In recent years the Canonbury Stakes and Widden Stakes have produced three Longines Golden Slipper winners in Vancouver (2015), Mossfun (2014) and Overreach (2013).

Dual Group 1 winning mare Global Glamour for Gai Waterhouse and Adrian Bott is the $3.00 TAB Fixed Odds favourite in the Group 2 $200,000 Sydney Markets Limited Expressway Stakes.

Market odds for the full program on Saturday are available at http://www.tab.com.au

Racegoers can pre-purchase the Summer Punters Pack for $39.
