Wayne Martyn
Licensed trainer Wayne Martyn lodged an appeal against penalty to the Racing NSW Appeal Panel after pleading guilty to a charge by Racing NSW Stewards under LR80A following an inquiry into the leading of the mare Sea Lady from a white four-wheel drive wagon on Coonabarabran Racecourse. Following the Stewards inquiry on 24 May 2018, Mr Martyn was suspended for six months to commence on Thursday, 24th May 2018 and to expire on Saturday, 24th November 2018. On application of the Appellant, which was not opposed by the Stewards, the penalty imposed by Stewards was stayed until further order of the Panel.
The appeal was heard on Friday, 7 September 2018 by the Racing NSW Appeal Panel presided by Mr R Beasley SC at the offices of Racing NSW, commencing at 9:30am. The Racing NSW Appeal Panel has reserved its decision with the stay of penalty to continue until such decision is made.
Bryan Dixon
Licensed trainer Bryan Dixon lodged an appeal against penalty to the Racing NSW Appeal Panel after pleading guilty to a charge by Racing NSW Stewards under LR80A following an inquiry into the leading of the gelding The Clash from a white Mitsubishi dual cab ute on Gilgandra Racecourse. Following the Stewards inquiry on 24 May 2018, Mr Dixon was suspended for six months to commence on Thursday, 24th May 2018 and to expire on Saturday, 24th November 2018. On application of the Appellant, which was not opposed by the Stewards, the penalty imposed by Stewards is stayed until further order of the Panel.
