Glyn Schofield
Licensed jockey Glyn Schofield lodged an Appeal against conviction and penalty after being found guilty by Racing NSW Stewards under AR137(a) following his ride on Kementari in Race 7 (Mostyn Cooper Group Randwick Guineas Group 1 - 1600m) at Royal Randwick Racecourse on Saturday, 10 March 2018. Following a Stewards inquiry, Mr Schofield was suspended for a period commencing on Sunday, 18 March 2018 and to expire on Tuesday, 3 April 2018, on which day he may resume riding. This Appeal was heard on Friday, 16 March 2018 at the offices of Racing NSW at 8am.

The Panel gave the following orders:
1. Appeal against finding of breach of AR137(a) dismissed
2. Finding of breach of AR137(a) confirmed
3. Appeal against severity of penalty dismissed
4. Penalty of an 8-meeting suspension confirmed, such suspension to commence on 18/03/2018 and to expire on 03/04/2018 on which day the appellant may ride
5. Appeal deposit forfeited

Corey Brown
Licensed jockey Corey Brown lodged an Appeal against penalty after being found guilty by Racing NSW Stewards under AR145 in that he weighed in, in excess of ½ kilogram in excess of his allotted weight following his ride on Miss Que in Race 8 (Schweppes Wenona Girl Quality Group 3 - 1200m) at Royal Randwick Racecourse on Saturday, 10 March 2018. Following a Stewards inquiry, Mr Brown was suspended for a period commencing on Sunday, 18 March 2018 and to expire on Wednesday, 28 March 2018 on which day he may resume riding. This appeal was heard on Friday, 16 March 2018 at the offices of Racing NSW at 9:30am.

The Panel gave the following orders:
1. Appeal against penalty dismissed
2. Penalty of a 10-day suspension confirmed. Such penalty to commence on 19/03/2018 and to expire on 29/03/2018 on which day the appellant may ride.
3. Appeal deposit forfeited
