With the Randwick trials now being transferred to Thursday (15th March), please note the following releases
- Unforgotten – Trainer Chris Waller has advised his intention is to accept with the filly in the Phar Lap Stakes at Rosehill Gardens this Saturday. As Unforgotten was found to have cardiac arrhythmia when unplaced in the Surround Stakes on 3rd March 2018, the filly is required to barrier trial to the satisfaction of the Stewards. Stewards have approved an application from Mr Waller to accept for the Phar Lap Stakes on the basis the filly will only be permitted to start should it barrier trial to the Stewards' satisfaction. A veterinary clearance including an ECG has been received by Racing NSW Stewards. Unforgotten has been moved from heat 2 to heat 7 to be conducted over 740m.
- Performer – Following a requirement to barrier trial to the satisfaction of the Stewards after Hugh Bowman was dislodged in the Todman Stakes, Performer has been entered into heat 9 at the Randwick barrier trials to be conducted on 15 March 2018.
Hugh Bowman - Update
- Following consultation with Racing NSW's Doctor, Dr David Duckworth, jockey Hugh Bowman has a scheduled appointment tomorrow with neurosurgeon Dr Mark Winder to assess his fitness to return to race riding. Hugh Bowman will also be required to complete a satisfactory after-injury cognitive test before riding again.
