Find out what the jockeys made of their mounts after the Group 2 $250,000 Fujitsu General Theo Marks Stakes (1300m) at Rosehill Gardens.
Jason Collett (Kiku): “That speed helped. Obviously from the wide gate, Chris said if you can get ahead of a couple it would be great. She got into a lovely rhythm. And her turn of foot was pretty electric.”
“She proved in the Queensland Winter that she can pick up a nice pay cheque/black type. Obviously today this is a huge addition to her page. It’s one of Chris Wallers, they just keep improving. The sky is the limit really.”
“I got my first G1 for Denise and a couple of these owners. They reminded me of that.”

Hugh Bowman (Kementari): “It was a good return. It was a solidly run race and he had top weight. They made him carry it and he didn’t disappoint.”
James McDonald (Kolding): “Just wasn’t his day today.”
Chad Schofield (Ellsberg): “I had a good position but then found trouble up the straight. I was blocked but got a bit of room late. He hit the line well.”
William Pike (Mr Mozart): “He’s a difficult horse to ride. I had a good spot then I lost a good spot. Then he had the audacity to try and win again.”
Rachel King (Bigboyroy): “Really happy with his first up run. He had a good blow and will take benefit from that.”
Kerrin McEvoy (Rustic Steel): “He’s run great. Got back in the ruck and didn’t have a lot of room but he’s run well.”
Jay Ford (Atishu): “Good return. Just struggled to go with them from the 4 to the 2 but the last furlong was good.”
Tommy Berry (Jamaea): “Very proud of her. There was a fast tempo early and she had to drag up the field to the rest of them. She blew out a little bit late. A massive effort.”
Kathy O'Hara (Tycoonist): “Good run. I had to give away too much ground from the barriers. If he lands in a good spot after a good draw he won’t be far out of the winner’s circle.”
Dylan Gibbons (Prime Candidate): “He is as honest as the day is long. He went down fighting today.”
