Injured Rider Update - Rhianna Craddock (Wyong, Monday)

Approved rider Rhianna Craddock, employed by trainer Kim Waugh, has been injured after a horse reared over on her at Wyong on Monday morning (19th December). Rhianna was airlifted to Royal North Shore Hospital.

[Update at 1:35pm on Tuesday 20th December]: Rhianna Craddock is recovering from her injuries and does not require surgery. She is now on crutches and is expected to be discharged from hospital on Wednesday.

[Update at 1:45pm on Monday 19th December]: Rhianna is at Royal North Shore Hospital and has had preliminary scans. She has a pelvic fracture which can hopefully be treated with bed rest and is waiting to be reviewed by the Orthopaedic surgeon.

Rhianna also has rib and spine fractures that will need an assessment by the Orthopaedic team as well. She will be in hospital for a few days and further information will be available after a review by the Orthopaedic team.
