Injured Jockey Update - Jon Grisedale (Warwick Farm, Friday)

Racing NSW Steward, Teague McDonald, has reported jockey Jon Grisedale was injured this morning (Friday 26th October) at Warwick Farm jump outs when his mount became fractious in the barriers and dislodged him.

Jon completed the jump out, however, once he dismounted he became concerned about a right leg injury. He returned home and was taken to Wollongong Hospital by his wife and is undergoing X-rays for a suspected break to that leg.

At this stage, Jon will be removed from all rides tomorrow at Kembla and Sunday at Queanbeyan. Racing NSW's Dr Duckworth will follow up on Jon's injury.

Update on Monday, 29th October 2018: Dr Duckworth reports that Jon Grisedale is fine. X-rays were clear and it appears he only has soft tissue damage.
