Jockey Jason Collett was dislodged at Royal Randwick today after his mount (Prahaar) shifted out abruptly inside the 100 metres, resulting in Jason landing awkwardly. Jason was conscious and got to his feet after the fall. He is currently being assessed by ambulance officers to determine if he will require hospital treatment.
(Update at 3:20pm on Wednesday, 7th February): Jason Collett has been assessed in the first aid room by the club's doctor who has advised that he is not going to hospital. Jason is suffering from general soreness in his neck region, however, he walked unaided back to the jockeys room. Jason may require physiotherapy in the next few days.
