Injured Jockey Update - Brenton Avdulla (Rosehill Trials)

Racing NSW Steward, Troy Vassallo, has reported jockey Brenton Avdulla was dislodged from his mount (Estijaab) after it knuckled on jumping out of the gates and became unbalanced.

Brenton is conscious and is being treated by on-course by ambulance officers for some pain in both legs. At this stage, Brenton won’t require any hospital treatment but has been stood down from his remaining rides.

[Update at 10:50am on Tuesday, 29th January]: Brenton is reported to be suffering from general soreness and his main concern is pain to his left hip and left wrist. Brenton is likely to seek medical treatment from his own Doctor and will not be riding at Gosford on Wednesday.
