Appeals Updates - Glyn Schofield & Corey Brown

Licensed jockey Glyn Schofield has lodged an Appeal against conviction and penalty after being found guilty by Racing NSW Stewards under AR137(a) following his ride on Kementari in Race 7 (Mostyn Cooper Group Randwick Guineas Group 1 - 1600m) at Royal Randwick Racecourse on Saturday, 10 March 2018. Following a Stewards inquiry, Mr Schofield was suspended for a period commencing on Sunday, 18 March 2018 and to expire on Tuesday, 3 April 2018, on which day he may resume riding. This Appeal has been set for Friday, 16 March 2018 at the offices of Racing NSW to commence at 8am.

Licensed jockey Corey Brown has lodged an Appeal against penalty after being found guilty by Racing NSW Stewards under AR145 in that he weighed in, in excess of ½ kilogram in excess of his allotted weight following his ride on Miss Que in Race 8 (Schweppes Wenona Girl Quality Group 3 - 1200m) at Royal Randwick Racecourse on Saturday, 10 March 2018. Following a Stewards inquiry, Mr Brown was suspended for a period commencing on Sunday, 18 March 2018 and to expire on Wednesday, 28 March 2018 on which day he may resume riding. This appeal has been set for Friday, 16 March 2018 at the offices of Racing NSW to commence at 9:30am.
