Vale Mr Neale Birney (Funeral Details)

Racing NSW has been informed of the passing of former trainer Neale Birney on Saturday 12 January, aged 59.

Neale passed away after a courageous battle with Motor Neurone Disease.

He was brother to former leading Northern Rivers jockey Graeme Birney and trained horses in Casino in the 1980’s, among those was Ussapung which was named the 1982 Horse of the Grafton Carnival.

Neale Birney's funeral will be held at 11am this Wednesday 16th January at St Mary's Church Casino.
