Racing NSW has been informed of the passing of former jockey and trainer Mr Darryl Cooper, aged 62.
Mr Cooper rode with plenty of success as a jockey in Central NSW before turning his attention to training where he followed in the footsteps of his father, Gary Joseph Cooper.
Mr Cooper prepared 27 winners and 62 placegetters and landed two city winners with Rhythmic King (won at Randwick with Craig Carmody in 1995) and King Fuji (won at Canterbury with Darren Beadman in 2004).
He also won five races with handy galloper Rivodip, eventually handing in his licence in 2017.
A service for Mr Cooper will commence at 9:30am on Thursday, 8th December 2022 at Parkview Chapel, 129 Nerang Broadbeach Road, Nerang Qld.
