Update On Oakfield Opal - Racing At Wellington (Today)
Please note the following:
Race 2, No.8 - OAKFIELD OPAL: The horse underwent a post-race veterinary examination after racing at Bathurst on Friday 27th October and was deemed 3/5 lame in the near-foreleg.
It was established that the mare had shifted a plate which was causing discomfort and has since been reshod.
Oakfield Opal has undergone examination by the stable’s veterinarian and a veterinary clearance has been provided.
The mare will be examined by the club’s official veterinarian upon arrival on course today.
