Trackwork rider Zac McFarlane was dislodged by his mount at Grafton Racecourse this morning when completing slow work on the synthetic track. After initially presenting without any apparent injuries, Zac began displaying mild symptoms of concussion and was transported to hospital by his partner for further assessment.
[Update at 3:45pm on Monday]: Racing NSW's Dr. Duckworth reports that Zac has a mild concussion and is still in hospital awaiting scans of his head. He may be discharged tonight and then followed up by his GP if all goes well and the scans are clear.
