Trackwork rider Pat Camilleri suffered a fall during jump outs at Orange Racecourse this morning (Tuesday 19th May). Pat reportedly lost an iron in the jump out before making contact with a fence and landing heavily.
[Update at 4pm on Tuesday]: Dr. Duckworth reports that Pat was knocked unconscious for about 30 seconds after hitting his head but is now conscious and is a little sore.
Scans so far have been clear, however, they are awaiting the final result of his brain MRI scan via Westmead before giving him the all-clear. Pat will be staying overnight at Orange Hospital for observation.
