JAMES INNES JNR (Wagga Sunday)
Following the running of Race 1 at Wagga on Sunday (30th March), jockey James Innes Jnr was experiencing pain to the right side of his rib cage which he suspects is an aggravation of an injury he sustained at Wellington on Friday (28th March). James underwent chest x-rays at Wagga Base Hospital which cleared him of any fractures. However, he advised he will seek further medical assessment upon return to Canberra, including a possible CT scan, if required.
AMY O'DRISCOLL (Wagga Sunday)
Apprentice Amy O’Driscoll hit her head on the top of the barriers as her mount reared upon exiting the barriers in Race 6 at Wagga on Sunday (30th March). Amy experienced dizziness upon return to scale and was assessed by ambulance officers who cleared her of a concussion. However, she was stood down by Stewards from the remainder of her rides and will be required to undergo a COG test prior to riding again. Amy remained on course under observation for a period of time as a precaution.
