Apprentice jockey Brandon Griffiths was dislodged from his mount during heat 3 at Wyong barrier trials on Monday morning (20th December). He is conscious and has been attended to by ambulance officers.
[Update at 2:30pm on Monday]: Brandon has a couple of rib fractures on his left side and a chest wall haematoma. He will stay in hospital overnight for observation.
[Update at 9:50am on Monday]: Brandon is now being airlifted to Royal North Shore Hospital.
Jockey Paul Timbery was dislodged from his mount during a Lismore barrier trial on Friday (17th December). He sustained some pain to his right hip and was taken to Lismore Hospital for precautionary x-rays.
