Injured Rider Update - Courtney Van Der Werf (Taree, Sunday)

Jockey Courtney Van Der Werf was involved in a race fall when four riders were dislodged at around the 500m at Taree on Sunday (29th October).

Courtney Van Der Werf has a suspected fractured left collarbone and is being transported via ambulance to hospital.

[Update at 8pm on Friday]: Courtney’s surgery on Wednesday went well and it has been reported she is much more comfortable.

[Update at 9am on Thursday]: Courtney underwent surgery yesterday to stabilise her left clavicle.

[Update at 8pm on Sunday]: Courtney is waiting to have x-rays on a suspected fractured left clavicle but no other injuries.
