Jockey Steven Kehoe was dislodged from his mount (Turramurra) following the running of race 5 at Geurie picnics on Saturday (1st February). Steven had chest and back pain and was taken to Dubbo Hospital for further examination.
[Update at 10:30am on Monday]: Racing NSW's Dr Duckworth reports that Steven Kehoe is still in Dubbo Hospital, suffering pain to his chest and back. Dr Duckworth will liaise with the hospital and tests will be conducted over the coming days.
Jockey Tom Marquand was dislodged from his mount (Ronstar) at the 800m mark in race 8 at Royal Randwick on Saturday (1st February). Tom was suffering from pain to his left shoulder and was stood down from his remaining riding engagement.
Tom was taken to St Vincent's Hospital and was awaiting scans of his neck and shoulder, but at this stage, it seems precautionary. He is quite alert, in good spirits and can move his shoulder without too much pain, so is hopeful of a good result.
[Update at 10:45am on Sunday]: Tom's manager has reported scans of his neck and shoulder were clear. However, he will require a post-concussion medical clearance to resume riding.
