Racing NSW has been informed of the passing of Mr Terry Kiely, a well-known bookmaker in the Central Western Districts for more than 60 years.
Terry was a member of City Tatts and came from a strong bookmaking family, with his Dad, Jack, a bookie as is his brother, Warwick.
"Dad had some big clients during his time including Frank Duval (The Hong Kong Tiger) and Felipe Ysmael (The Filipino Fireball)," recalled Terry's son, Clayton.
"He would go anywhere to meetings and I remember Dad bookmaking at Parkes races and then travelling to Bulli trots afterwards. It's a five-hour drive now so it would have been a much longer trip back in those days."

Terry's family and friends are respectfully invited to attend his funeral at St Raphael's Catholic Church Cowra, commencing at 11am on Monday, 13th August 2018. Thence for interment in the Cowra Cemetery.
By request, in lieu of flowers, donations can be made at the church to the Men of League Foundation.
