Racing NSW has been informed of the passing of Kandos-based trainer Greg Hook on 19 September 2023.
Mr Hook, 63, passed away following a training accident while riding trackwork on his property.
His last winner was Blue Collar Boy at Orange in March this year.
NSW Trainers Association's Richard Callander said: "On behalf of our Association we are deeply sad to hear of Greg’s passing.
"Greg was the essence of country racing and he was a very talented horseman who loved being part of the racing industry.
“Greg was highly respected by his fellow trainers and he always had a smile and was up for a chat, albeit not a long one.
"All our love and thoughts are with Greg’s wife Robin, his family and friends.”
Greg was the beloved husband of Robin, much loved Dad of Joshua, Erin & Adam, and was adored pop of Sophie, Charlotte, and Georgia. He was a cherished brother, uncle and mate to many.
