Narrandera Race Club has advised of the passing of life member and patron, Marj Anslow OAM.

"As President of our Club I pass on our deepest condolences to the family members of our esteemed life member Marj Anslow," said NTC's Graeme Mathieson.

"Marj gave 37 years of service to the Club including attendance at our last meeting in August. She worked tirelessly on the Club’s finances year-round and worked in the office on racedays for roughly 30 years of her involvement.

"Marj was always smiling at racing participants and calm under pressure. She was a great leader, role model and hard-working volunteer whose presence around the Club and the town will be sorely missed.

"We as a Club and individuals had the greatest respect for Marj and will forever be grateful for her contribution to helping the Club prosper into what it has grown to today; thank you and rest in peace Marj."

NOTE: A service for Marj will be held at St John's Uniting Church, Narrandera commencing at 11am on Friday, 1st November 2024.
