Dubbo gelding Tupou has claimed back-to-back picnic cups after scoring a narrow win in the Robinson Grain Tottenham Picnic Cup (1400m).

Prepared by Clint Lundholm, Tupou (Ricky Blewitt, $6) prevailed by a short neck from Linden Tree (Grady Spokes, $2.60 favourite) with Planet Ex (Eloise Drews, $4.40) a long head away in third position. The galloper had previously taken out the Bedgerabong Picnic Cup (1400m) on February 10.

Tupou was previously trained by Paul Perry at Newcastle and is out of a Choisir mare Kokomo, a five time winner and was sold online through Inglis last September for a mere $2500.

Tupou collected 10 points in the NSW Picnic Champion Series and is now into third position behind Linden Tree (26 points) and California August (24pts).

Blewitt was the star of Tottenham with a winning treble courtesy of an earlier win on Luckyimwithaimee (trained by Wayne Collison, $2.30 favourite) and Ready For Lift Off (Kylie Kennedy, $4.20) in the final event.

The next chance to earn points will be at CROOKWELL PICNICS on Saturday (9th March).
