Triple Treat Of Tablelands Racing At Goulburn

Goulburn's race meeting on Friday is the first in a trifecta of July dates for the tablelands club (also racing 20th and 31st). The eight-race card is typical of the super-competitive racing fare always served up at Goulburn with plenty of value for punters on offer across the program.

Race 1 - RADIO GOULBURN MAIDEN HANDICAP (1400M): Expect improvement from California Sky coming off a solid provincial debut whilst McGeehan showed immediate smarts as a stylish runner-up on debut. Glock is the on pace type in this and racing genuinely of late.

Race 2 - KILPATRICK HOLDINGS BENCHMARK 58 HANDICAP (2140M): Gutbuster trip with Prince Camelot looking suited despite a big weight rise. Was close up in a stronger affair last start and loves this trip. Caribbean Gold is on trial at this trip but could run a cheeky on pace race from a soft draw whilst First Footman is a proven weight carrier adept in all going.

Race 3 - TAB - LONG MAY WE PLAY MAIDEN PLATE (1600M): Tread carefully type of race. Roderick’s Secret should find this easier than his past two outings and the Smith stable has its tail up at present. Costa Chin Chin is overdue a win but resumed in good order and drawn to get every chance. Vintage Moochi could easily improve despite an unplaced debut run in harder.

Race 4 - S & K WILSON PLUMBING CLASS 1 HANDICAP (1400M): Can follow some in form types here. Admit It has been very competitive of late and peaking here after two close up efforts in similar grade. Oaksastar got well back first-up but proved his mettle for a race like this last campaign. Second-up a strong chance. Most Welcome has been cashing in at every start this prep and can make his own luck early.

Race 5 - DIVALLS EARTHMOVING MAIDEN HANDICAP (1000M): Ratty tempo likely and Light and Dark looks close to a breakthrough day. Provincial placed at his past two and has natural speed. General Soleil hasn't shown much at the trials but gets a few gear changes whilst Titan Of Industry gets a much better draw this time with Jay Ford up.

Race 6 - GOULBURN PRODUCE CLASS 2 HANDICAP (1600M): Big track mile so the fitter the better. Judicator has been consistent to date and has a strong second-up record. From a soft draw looks ready to improve sharply. Dinado gets back to a more suitable trip and fitness no issue whilst Duchess Of Windsor tackles her pet trip back in form.

Race 7 - DAVID ALT ELECTRICAL BENCHMARK 58 HANDICAP (1400M): Vibrant Knight gets back to his home track off a barnstorming maiden win first up. Still learning but can't ignore. Soviet will need luck in running but put the writing on the wall last start. Shrug's Moruya win last time out was a ripper and the bigger track suits again.

Race 8 - SOUTHERN TABLELANDS RURAL SERVICES BENCHMARK 66 HANDICAP (1000M): Need a touch of genius to close the quaddie with any certainty but Snitzagirl should get you close. Last start winner in similar grade and drawn well on a track she likes. Canyonero has been twice placed at this trip and finished close up in both recent trials. Well placed resuming. All In Rhythm loves this track and form from latest win here has been franked since.

Goulburn's track is currently rated a Soft 5 with the first race timed to go at 12.05 on Friday.
