Coffs Harbour trainer Sally Taylor is confident she’s found the right events for Bold Hoi Ho and Capzinzi to be very competitive in at the Taree race meeting on Tuesday.
And both horses are prominent in the market, so the bookmakers obviously agree.
TAB rates Bold Hoi Ho as second favourite at $4.20 in race five, the Sky International Benchmark 82 Handicap over 1614m.

And Capzinzi is also second favourite at $4.80 for the last event on the eight-race card, the Become A MVRC Member Country Boosted Class 1 Handicap over 1262m.
Taree-based apprentice jockey Teighan Worsnop will ride both horses.
The Taree surface was rated a Soft 7 on Monday morning with the prospect for some further showers between then and the meeting kicking off.
Taylor said she would be delighted if the track stayed in the soft range.
“They both basically love the soft,” she said. “I wouldn’t say Capzinzi is going to love heavy, but Bold Hoi Ho has won on the heavy.
“Particularly with it being the last race of the day for Capzinzi, I’d hate for it to be in heavy range and still raining.
“Not that she won’t get through it, but I don’t know whether she’ll be as effective or not. A Soft 6 or Soft 7 would be perfect for both horses. You can’t control the weather, but you can hope.
“I believe I’ve found good races for them. They’re certainly within reach of both horses, so hopefully they’ll both do well.”
Taylor says Worsnop, who rode a winner for the trainer she is apprenticed to, Glen Milligan, at the most recent Taree meeting on March 17, is a good choice to pilot her gallopers.
“She’s only had three rides for me for a first and a third,” she said. “She’s ridden both Capzinzi and Bold Hoi Ho, so she knows both horses, and she rides Taree really well and I think you need a jockey who knows that track.”
Bold Hoi Ho has drawn the outside barrier in the 10-horse field, but the six-year-old gelding has shown the ability to get good results from either racing prominently or settling back in the field.
Four-year-old mare Capzinzi is drawn near the rail and has enough early speed to race prominently. Taylor has been rebooting her stable with a lot of younger horses coming in to join the experienced core.
“I’ve got 18 in training now,” she said. “That includes a lot of two and three-year-olds that haven’t raced yet, but which are getting ready to go. So it’ll be good to see how they shape up when they start racing.”
*NOTE: First race is 1.15pm with gates opening midday. Full TAB and bookmaker facilities and the Turf Bistro and bar inside the Winning Post Function Centre are open. General admission $10 and concession $5.
