Opportunities are presenting rapidly for rookie Hollie Hull amidst her burgeoning apprenticeship with prolific home-track trainer Clint Lundholm into Friday’s Dubbo TAB meeting.
The promising 3kg claimer is coming off a recent Coonamble winning double for Lundholm including Sin City Belle, strongly fancied in the final event on Dubbo’s six-race TAB meeting with capacity fields.
And significantly, Holly’s productive six wins from 46 career rides, and a maximum claim, is resulting in interest from other stables.
Typically, Lundholm has been having highly successful seasons, and is represented throughout his home track program with seven runners.
And no stronger contender than lightly raced Sin City Belle ($10 on TAB) off a dominant Coonamble 1100m BM 50 win ridden a “gem” by Holly two weeks ago.
The aptly named Casino Prince five-year-old mare has just six starts for a winning double and rises to 1300m in a Marty Nelson Refrigeration and Air Conditioning BM 50 with 59.5kg less Hollie’s 3kg claim, up 2kg from her last start win.
“I’ve got live chances all day, and that mare is as good as any; out to 1300m from her last win at 1100m but Hollie thinks she’ll run it and I’ll go with that,” Clint enthused.
“We’ve got the claim and a handy draw. Hollie’s really capable, loves what she does, the family is from the central coast, her mum works for Godolphin.
“Holly was riding work at Wyong for a good mate of mine Damien Lane. He said she keen to be an apprentice and I was happy to give her a start.
“She’s ridden six winners in a short space and more come.”
Clint is keen on the chances of In the Road ($7) in the third event.
“She’s come back super this prep, trialled like a winner, progressed from an easy win at the picnics and put them away again at Mudgee. Not much depth in the race, but she can only win.”
Dubbo will race on a Good 4 track in fine weather.
