Expressions of Interest are now open for a vacant 12-stable barn located on the racetrack at Wellington, with access to all racing and training facilities.
Wellington Race Club has recently completed remedial works and a refurbishment of the sand training track and is currently progressing a 6-12 horse walker for the facility.
Wellington Race Club is located in the Central Districts Racing Region in Central Western NSW and is within two hours travel or less to racecourses such as Dubbo, Mudgee, Orange, Narromine, Bathurst, Coonamble, Gilgandra, Parkes and Forbes.
Not too far further are tracks such as Scone, Muswellbrook and the Hunter region, while Tamworth, Newcastle, Canberra and Western Sydney are only a 4-hour journey.
Wellington Race Club conducts eight race meetings annually including the two-day Wellington Boot Carnival, 12-14 April 2024, with $500,000 in prizemoney, featuring the $200,00 Wellington Boot for two-year-olds while the Big Dance Qualifier Wellington Cup is worth $100,000.
Other major races during the Carnival include the $50,000 Town Plate over 1000m and 2400m Iron Horse worth $40,000.
